Photography has been a hobby for me, on and off, for about 18 years. I took it up again in February 2005 after a break of quite a few years, when I bought a digital camera to take photographs of my holiday in Malaysia.
It has quickly developed into somewhat of an obsession for me now, and I am rarely far away from my camera. A lot of what I shoot can be quite abstract or ‘graphic’ in nature. This isn’t always my intention - I just seem to have a natural leaning toward clean, crisp lines and vibrant colours. My work tends not to ‘tell a story’ like many of the other pictures on 35mm, I just get drawn to something (usually an inanimate object) that I see some sort of beauty in – maybe its texture or shape.
